Swiss regtech company Indigita SA has launched a new e-Learning course on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) in an international context for professionals working at financial institutions and intermediaries.
The course explains AML frameworks at state and entity level, takes participants through the different stages of the AML process and addresses due diligence, as well as reporting requirements.
The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) International course of Indigita explains the main definitions and principles of AML in an international context. It helps participants to fulfil their business obligations by ensuring the compliance of their business relationships.
At the same time, the training introduces international standards and recommendations issued by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The course explains reporting requirements and consequences of disregarding mandatory measures for individuals and financial institutions such as fines, professional bans and imprisonment, loss of licence and reputational damage.
The training outlines the process of identifying and verifying the different parties involved in a financial transaction. By going through interactive modules, participants will apply the concept of Know Your Customer (KYC) to make sure that the account holder/beneficial owner is properly identified. Furthermore, participants will face the concept of Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and will learn how to recognise potential high-risk business relationships and transactions.
The AML International course forms part of Indigita’s extensive e-Learning solutions portfolio.
The training does not require prior knowledge of the topic, lasts approximately 45 minutes, and concludes with a final assessment to check participants’ learning progress.
