Swiss regtech company Indigita SA has added a new online course on ESG and sustainable finance to its range of e-Learning solutions. The SAQ-recognised course has been developed together with leading regulatory knowledge provider BRP Bizzozero & Partners SA and provides financial professionals with essential knowledge on ESG investing in an engaging and efficient format.
Environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors play an increasingly important role in investment decisions. This trend is underpinned by a number of initiatives and regulations, on supranational level and in Switzerland, which aim to foster sustainable finance. Indigita’s new e-Learning course offers financial professionals an efficient way to acquire essential knowledge on ESG investing and gain an overview of definitions and concepts, legal frameworks, initiatives and regulatory developments.
The course is recognised by the Swiss Association for Quality (SAQ) and draws on the leading regulatory expertise of BRP Bizzozero & Partners SA. The first part of the training addresses various initiatives and regulations on supranational level, including the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the UN Paris Agreement on Climate Change and the EU Action Plan on Sustainable Finance. This part also covers the European Green Deal Investment Plan (EGDIP) and the integration of sustainability factors into the MiFID II, AIFMD and UCITS regimes.
The second part of the training focuses on Switzerland’s approach to sustainable finance by outlining national initiatives and regulatory developments with particular focus on the requirement for financial service providers to consider ESG factors in their suitability processes. The course covers FINMA’s Risk Monitor report as well as relevant publications by the Swiss Bankers Association (SBA), the Asset Management Association Switzerland (AMAS) and Swiss Sustainable Finance (SSF).
The training can be completed in approximately 45 minutes and features a final assessment to test participants’ learning progress. As with all of Indigita’s e-Learning solutions, the course is combining theoretical foundations with practical application to offer an engaging learning experience.
The new course on ESG and sustainable finance complements Indigita’s wide range of e-Learning solutions and is available in English as of now.
