Course Access: 60 days access
Course Overview

The training addresses the new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), which came into force on 1 September 2023 and affects all legal entities that process personal data in Switzerland, as well as foreign companies that process data of Swiss domiciled individuals.

Designed to meet the specific needs of financial professionals, the course covers key data protection concepts such as consent, storage, access, transmission, clear communication and compatible purpose, emphasising the rights of individuals and the obligations
of controllers, including management’s accountability. Through interactive elements and a game-based approach the course participants gain knowledge in various areas such as data breaches and sanctions, as well as interactions with data subjects and the Swiss supervisory authority FDPIC.

A major focus of the course is to educate financial professionals on the application of data protection laws in their daily business and to provide the opportunity to practice this knowledge on real Swiss business cases.
