The course aims to equip employees of financial intermediaries with a robust understanding of ESG in alignment with the Paris Agreement, the 2030 Agenda, and the Net-Zero Banking Alliance. The online training comprises 10 lessons, providing a thorough examination of sustainability in the financial intermediary sector. Each lesson concludes with a brief knowledge check, consolidating insights for the final assessment, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of ESG principles in finance.

Starting with fundamental concepts, participants progress through topics such as ESG taxonomy, greenwashing, and sustainable transition scenarios endorsed by the Network for Greening the Financial System. A significant focus is on climate risks, equipping participants with tools for risk identification and measurement using climate scenario systems and risk estimation models.

Covering a spectrum of risks—from market and liquidity to credit, operational, and reputational—the course bridges theory and practical implications. The "climate risk and credit" chapter elaborates on credit policies, practical implications of climate risks, and the integration of ESG components into credit assessments. Navigating four ESG awareness phases, the course emphasizes the regulatory role in shaping financial institution advisory services from an ESG perspective.

Upon completion, participants understand the multifaceted role of financial intermediaries in revolutionizing ESG financial products. The course explores viewpoints in risk management, credit, internal audit, compliance, human resources, IT, marketing, and other units. Participants grasp investment product types, ESG rating criteria, and nuances of debt and bond markets under the ESG theme.

The online training lasts approximately 60 minutes and concludes with a final assessment to confirm participants’ learning progress.

The e-Learning course is available as part of a corporate subscription or can be purchased by individual professionals directly through the Indigita e-Shop:
